Is it ok to pull out a loose tooth?
We do not recommend for people with a loose permanent tooth to pull it out themselves. Even though the tooth is loose, it does not necessarily mean that pulling it out is necessary. Depending on the particular situation we may be able to save the tooth, which is the ideal solution. If we determine the tooth does indeed need removal, then we will recommend the necessary tooth extraction procedure. While the majority of the time a tooth can be extracted without any issues, it is possible for something to go wrong, which can make things worse.
